There are two ways to set a song as a ringtone on your iPhone.
Method 1: Using GarageBand
- Download and install GarageBand from the App Store.
- Open GarageBand and create a new project.
- Import the song you want to use as your ringtone. You can do this by dragging and dropping the song file into the GarageBand workspace, or by tapping the “+” button in the top left corner and selecting “Import File”.
- Once the song is imported, trim it to the desired length. The maximum length for a ringtone is 30 seconds. you can find your .m4r on bgmringtones.net
- To trim the song, tap and hold the playhead at the point where you want the ringtone to start. Then, drag the playhead to the point where you want the ringtone to end.
- Once the song is trimmed, tap the “Share” button in the top right corner.
- Select “Ringtone” from the share sheet.
- Tap “Continue” and then “Export”.
- When the ringtone is exported, it will be saved in the “Ringtones” folder in your Files app.
- Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone and select your new ringtone.
Method 2: Using iTunes
- Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.
- Click on your iPhone in the sidebar.
- Click on the “Tones” tab.
- Drag and drop the song you want to use as your ringtone into the “Tones” section.
- Once the song is imported, right-click on it and select “Create Ringtone”.
- In the Ringtone Options window, set the start and end points of the ringtone. The maximum length for a ringtone is 30 seconds.
- Click “Create”.
- The ringtone will be created and saved in the “Tones” section of your iTunes library.
- Sync your iPhone with iTunes to transfer the ringtone to your iPhone.
- Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone and select your new ringtone.
Method 2: without PC
you can also set a song as a ringtone on your iPhone without a computer. Here are the steps:
- Download and install GarageBand from the App Store.
- Open GarageBand and create a new project.
- Import the song you want to use as your ringtone. You can do this by dragging and dropping the song file into the GarageBand workspace, or by tapping the “+” button in the top left corner and selecting “Import File”.
- Once the song is imported, trim it to the desired length. The maximum length for a ringtone is 30 seconds.
- To trim the song, tap and hold the playhead at the point where you want the ringtone to start. Then, drag the playhead to the point where you want the ringtone to end.
- Once the song is trimmed, tap the “Share” button in the top right corner.
- Select “Ringtone” from the share sheet.
- Tap “Continue” and then “Export”.
- The ringtone will be exported as an M4R file.
- Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone and select your new ringtone.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
- The song you use as a ringtone must be in the MP3 format.
- The ringtone file must be less than 30 seconds long.
- The ringtone file must be named “Custom Ringtone.m4r”.
